“Spriggan”, released theatrically in 1998, appeared as the last great film of the 20th century due to the strong tag-team of Katsuhiro Otomo’s general supervision and Hirotsugu Kawasaki’s direction. This film, in the pursuit of uncompromising quality, exceeded 85,000 animation cels; the total number surpassed the early forecasts by 1.5 times.
The hard action that unfolds between ARCAM’s number one Spriggan Yu Ominae and America’s Pentagon, over the “ark” that is hidden in the mountains of Alalato, Turkey, becomes a super high quality image, with the use of the latest CG and ultimate animation skill. This animation successfully achieved an entertaining and tense atmosphere.
